High-Wire-Performance crossing the Rhine

Saturday 12 May at 2:30 pm , Mittlere Brücke Basel

Take a deep breath: On Saturday, May 12th at 2.30 pm, Laurence Tremblay-Vu, a charismatic young artist from Canada, will be raised 15 meters with a skylift. In front of him is the high wire, which he will cross above the Rhine and on which he will show his unique performance. The ships will stop and when the music sets in the spectators on the Mittlere Brücke and at the Rhine banks will look up to the sky and hold their breath as Laurence will walk the 190 meter distance unsecured crossing the Rhine and showing his act.
Laurence Tremblay-Vu grew up in Canada. In 2013 he graduated from the École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, where he specialized in tightrope walking. A river crossing has always been his dream. For him it’s magical when people stop to share the moment on the tightrope with him.

With this high-wire performance, the YOUNG STAGE Festival organization would like to thank the city of Basel and the population for their support in the past 10 years.

This is a public event for everybody who likes to watch a spectacular performance from an outstanding artist!

In the heart of Basel Laurence will show his performance of approx. 20 minutes!
