Corona Info

The protection of our guests has top priority. To guarantee a smooth and safe process, we have developed a protection concept (written in September 2021 subject to modifications).

These are the measures of the protection concept:

  • In order to be allowed to perform our shows, we follow the federal and cantonal regulations.
  • Admission is granted to visitors who have been tested, recovered from COVID or vaccinated and who can prove this by means of a COVID certificate (the QR-Code is mandatory!). A COVID certificate is required from the age of 16 on.
  • Official identification (ID, passport) must be shown at the entrance; no data will be stored during the certificate check.
  • Each visitor has a numbered seat.
  • The hygiene measures according to BAG are implemented.
  • The performing artists and the whole crew are also vaccinated or tested.

In case of a possible infection or illness with COVID-19 at our event, YOUNG STAGE declines any liability. Guests attend the performances at their own risk.

WHY IS THERE A CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENT AT YOUNG STAGE?

The mission of our non-profit association YOUNG STAGE is to promote young artists from all over the world. Therefore, it is our ultimate goal that the festival can take place as soon as possible and finally offer the worldwide popular platform again.

The Federal Government has decided to extend the certificate obligation from 13 September on, which prescribes the 3G rule (vaccinated, recovered, tested) for indoor events. The YOUNG STAGE Festival is therefore subject to the certificate obligation of the Federal Government and the canton and can only grant access to the show to visitors who have a valid COVID certificate.

We are aware that not all of our visitors are happy with this measure. We thank you very much in advance for your understanding and support during this time, which is not easy for all of us, and we are looking forward enormously to your visit!

What is the COVID certificate?

The COVID certificate proves a negative test result, a disease that has been passed or a COVID 19 vaccination. The COVID certificate is issued to you on request in paper form or as a PDF document with a QR code. We also accept the EU certificate.

When and where can I get the Swiss COVID certificate?

The COVID certificate is issued by:

  • Vaccination centres
  • Medical practices
  • Hospitals
  • Pharmacies
  • Testing Centres
  • Laboratories
  • Cantonal authorities

How long is the COVID certificate valid?

The period of validity differs depending on whether your COVID certificate proves a COVID 19 vaccination, a passed disease or a negative test result. The validity period may be adjusted due to new scientific findings.

  • For vaccinated persons
365 days from the administration of the last vaccination dose.
  • For recovered persons
Validity begins on the 11th day after the positive test result and lasts for 180 days after the test result.
  • For persons tested negative
PCR test: 72 hours from the moment of sample collection
Rapid antigen test: 48 hours from the moment of sample collection

Do I have to be vaccinated to receive the COVID certificate?

No. A negative COVID test or a COVID disease confirmed by a doctor is sufficient to receive the COVID certificate.

With which negative test will I receive the COVID certificate?

You will receive the COVID certificate with a negative PCR test result as well as a negative antigen rapid test result.
COVID certificates are not issued for self-tests and antibody tests.

I cannot get vaccinated for health reasons, can I still attend the show?

Yes. A negative COVID test is sufficient for obtaining the COVID certificate.

Is the rapid test free of charge for obtaining the COVID certificate?

The Swiss Government will cover all the costs of rapid tests for Swiss health insurance policy holders at a test centre, at the doctor’s, hospitals or pharmacies until 30 September 2021. After that, you will have to pay for the tests if you get tested without symptoms.

How and when will my COVID certificate be checked on admission?

Your COVID certificate will be checked by our staff via the “COVID Certificate Check” app in front of the main entrance. You will also need your ID document (ID, passport, etc.) for the check.

Do I need an app?

No, it is not mandatory. You can present your COVID certificate in paper form or electronically as a PDF. It is important that the QR code is clearly legible.

How can I prepare for admission?

Are you vaccinated, already recovered from COVID or do you have a negative PCR test or antigen rapid test result? Then you can apply for a COVID certificate in paper or digital form in all cantons. The COVID certificate can be transferred to the SwissCovid App. Please arrive early at the entrance so that crowd can be avoided. You will also need your identification document (ID or passport) for the verification.

Do I have to present the COVID certificate electronically or printed out?

You can show the COVID certificate electronically or as a printed version.

What entry requirements apply to visitors from abroad?

You can find all the information concerning the entry requirements for Switzerland here.

Do children have to show a certificate at large events?

No, children and young people under the age of 16 can access to events without a COVID certificate. Children under the age of 16 do not have to wear a mask or show a COVID certificate.

What data does YOUNG STAGE see when verifying the COVID certificate?

During the verification process, only the name and date of birth are displayed in the verification app (“COVID Certificate Check App”) and the information if the COVID certificate is valid or not. No data will be stored by YOUNG STAGE.

Will my data be stored in the “COVID Certificate Check” app or in a central system during the verification process?

No, no data is stored during the verification process – neither in the “COVID Certificate Check” app nor in a central system. It is therefore not possible to trace which COVID certificate was checked by whom, when and where.
